With Steve Cournane going overseas in 2003, the Strugglers were delighted to be able to obtain Ross's services for gigs in the South Island, and subsequently for the Kingfisher album. Ross had played with Bill and Nick in the 1980's, but will be better known for his work with the Muttonbirds and the Finn Brothers.
